If an appliance is not working correctly, the issue is more often be low battery voltage or wiring, rather than the product itself.
A quick way to check is by measuring voltage at the battery and at the appliance using a multimeter.
- Measure directly at the battery terminals.
- 12.6–12.8V: Fully charged
- 12.2V: Around 50% charge
- Below 12.0V: Battery discharged
If the battery voltage is low, the battery likely needs charging.
- Check Voltage at the Appliance
- Measure the voltage at the appliance while it is running.
- If voltage is similar to the battery, wiring is likely fine
- If voltage is much lower than the battery, this usually indicates voltage drop
Voltage drop is often caused by:
- Undersized cables
- Long cable runs
- Loose or corroded connections
What You See | Likely Cause |
| Low voltage at battery | Battery needs charging |
| Good battery voltage but low at appliance | Voltage drop / wiring issue |
| Correct voltage but appliance not working | Possible faulty product |
